SPECIAL VOTING
As elections are being held the day before Conference begins, you may be interested in applying for a special vote.
Applications for special votes will open on 21 September 2026 and close on 12 October 2026. Special voting will take place on 2 and 3 November 2026, before Election Day on 4 November.
How to apply for a special vote for the 4 November 2026 election:
- Download and complete this MEC 35 (Appendix 25) form:
- Complete all personal and contact information accurately.
- Select the appropriate checkbox to indicate the reason for applying for a special vote.
- Sign and date the declaration.
- Submit your application:
- Submit your completed application to the IEC using one of the official application methods before 12 October 2026.
- The IEC's online special-vote application facility will be available from 21 September 2026: Submit a Special Vote Request
- Receive confirmation:
- Await notification from the IEC confirming whether your application has been approved and providing details of when and where/how your special vote will be conducted.

The event will be held at the Sun City Convention Centre, North West Province, South Africa.
